"Since our daughter started lessons with Fiona we have noticed a great improvement in her piano playing, particularly with the expression in the music she plays.

We never have to remind her when to practice and when she has a lesson she is always ready to go.
Our daughter is always keeps us up to date. Fiona is professional, very supportive and easy to talk to."

"Fiona began coming to our house once a week in the Autumn of 2012 to teach my five-year old son and seven-year-old daughter to play the piano. Over the past three years they have benefitted from Fiona's careful and considered approach to teaching, developing good technique and a high standard of playing through her consistent tuition.

Now eight and ten respectively, they have both very successfully passed their Grades 1 and 2 piano exams. Currently between exams, they are enjoying playing widely from a variety of books, as well as continuing with technique exercises and scales, before beginning to prepare for their Grade 3 exam later in the year.

My children always look forward to their piano lessons, finding Fiona to be kind, encouraging and supportive."

"As  teacher (now retired) I can appreciate Fiona's many teaching skills. Her musical abilities and love of music inform all her lessons. There are clear, realistic objectives with quick discernment and analysis of any problems to be solved.

My individual musical interests have always been welcomed to help achieve the progress of the formal music book course and my own musicianship shown to be valued.

For a very late beginner flautist doubtful of what I could achieve, I have found the sensitive expertise and friendly, firm encouragement in Fiona's instruction a heartening and positive experience."

"I've been having piano lessons for nearly three years, I've enjoyed every one of them.

Fiona is a great teacher and really inspires me. She has helped me greatly through my grade one and grade two exams by teaching me a range of scales and different styles of pieces which has helped me broaden my style of playing."
